Sebastian Faulks’s latest novel is A Week In December is a major Sunday Times bestseller. It has so far sold more than 120,000 in the Hutchinson edition. The Vintage paperback is due out in September 2010.

A Week in December is being adapted by Simon Burke for Left Bank Productions for a four-part serial to be shown on Channel Four in 2011.

Faulks is currently making a four-part television series for BBC 2 about characters in British novels, to be broadcast next year. The hour-long parts are on the Hero, the Lover, the Snob and the Villain. Each programme will look at seven characters, ranging from the early 18th century up to the present day.
