Random House eBooks ~ Coming Soon

What is an eBook?
An eBook is really just another format like the hardback and paperback. An eBook is a digital version that can be downloaded and read in variety of ways, on a variety of devices, they can be read on desktop or laptop computers, on certain PDAs & smartphones and on dedicated eBook reading devices. Depending on what you use to read your eBook, they have search functionality and are easily navigated. Some allow you to annotate and highlight, some dedicated eBook devices can store 160 titles at a time, or even more if you use a memory card, allowing you to read whatever you want, whenever you want. These devices have also been designed to have very long battery life, up to around 7500 page turns from a single charge, and have a special screen designed to be read in full sunlight.

For detailed information on devices and formats see our FAQ to the right.

Environmentally Friendly!
eBooks are green! Greg Kozak undertook a Lifecycle Analysis of eBook readers in 2003. He found that over its life cycle, an e-book reader created less greenhouse gas emissions, less ozone-depleting substances and chemicals associated with acid rain, and that it also used less raw materials and water in manufacture than conventional books. Now you can enjoy the best Random House has to offer and save the world at the same time.
